Black tooltips in eclipse on Ubuntu 12.04

Ubuntu tips for java developers:

Eclipse documentation tooltips are default black in Ubuntu 12.04, you can not read the tooltips.  To change the tooltips color,

Install Gnome Color Chooser:

sudo apt-get install gnome-color-chooser

Run Gnome Color Chooser, in Specific tab, you can setup background/foreground colors for tooltips. I am using for foreground black(#000000), background blue(#C2DFFD). Apply and close Gnome Color Chooser.

    Thanks a bunch, mate :-)
This color chooser thing should definitely be part of the default bundle!
    Cheers,

Thank you. I can see again. A reference for what each setting refers too would be nice. For instance I can not read the filename in the title of an active tab when editing the file. Light grey on light orange does not show up.

      Hi,

I don’t like Ubuntu default theme, therefore I am using Gnome Cupertino theme. Eclipse IDE looks better with Gnome Cupertino theme ;)
